What is Monk Fruit* and why do you use it as an ingredient?Updated 10 days ago
Monk Fruit is a naturally sweet-tasting fruit derived from the Siraitia grosvenorii plant, native to Southeast Asia that has been trusted for centuries. The sweet compounds in monk fruit, called mogrosides, are metabolised differently to sugar, providing sweetness without calories or raising blood glucose levels.
We've taken a different approach with our flavoured electrolytes. Most monk fruit powders you'll find use maltodextrin as a carrier base, typically from corn or other grains. We've developed a unique grain-free formulation that fits perfectly with our ethos of natural, grain-free products.
