Does your olive harvest affect birds?Updated 22 days ago

Not all olive oil producers do things the same way. We only harvest olives during the day, to avoid disturbing nesting birds in the trees at night. Many farms use mechanical overhead harvesting, which can injure or kill wildlife. We use people or trucks that gently vibrate the tree, so the olives fall into a net below, giving any birds the chance to fly off first.
