Can I have ghee if I'm avoiding lactose?Updated 22 days ago

When making ghee, the organic butter is melted and the milk solids sink to the bottom, along with any impurities, and are removed. This means ghee is low in, or free from, lactose, and also much lower in carbohydrates (sugars) than milk, making it a great milk alternative in coffee or tea. Some people find they can tolerate ghee for this reason if they follow a lactose-free lifestyle. That said, we'd advise avoiding ghee if you have a dairy allergy.
