Is your avocado oil certified organic?Updated 22 days ago
In short, no, but here's why. The farmers we source our avocados from follow organic principles. They don't use pesticides or artificial fertilisers (they use cow manure instead), and they don't add any chemicals. We've also had our oil third-party tested for traces of pesticides, and found none. Did you know that avocados take the top spot on the Clean 15 list for the cleanest produce with the lowest pesticide contamination? Because of this, we don't feel it's necessary to state 'organic' on our bottles, since gaining official 'organic' status would mean an additional cost for the farmers when they're already pesticide-free by default. It's actually quite common for 'organic avocado oil' to be lower quality for the price, because of the extra certification costs involved.
