Is saturated fat bad for us?Updated 22 days ago
No.
Saturated fat has had a lot of bad press. There's been misinformation over the past forty years suggesting it's extremely bad for you.
Within a balanced diet, saturated fat is essential for good health and may even support longevity.
We shouldn't be afraid of fats, just eat them as part of a healthy diet.
Fats are needed to absorb the fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K, and contribute to good cholesterol (HDL).
We believe in eating natural fats the body can recognise and break down, better than ultra-processed seed and vegetable oils, which may, by comparison, have been marketed as "heart healthy".
