How to store your tallowUpdated 22 days ago
Great question!
Long before refrigerators existed, tallow was stored at room temperature, and it still has a great shelf life today.
We recommend keeping it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Stored this way, tallow will stay fresh for 6 to 12 months.
Just keep your tallow in an airtight container or jar, like ours, to prevent oxidation of this all-natural product. You can also freeze it, which is handy if you like to buy in bulk and stock up.
Tip. Melt the tallow in a bowl over hot water, then pour it into an ice cube tray for single-serve fat bombs, great for cooking, or for tossing into smoothies and shakes.
